Clarity
The clarity of a diamond has always been one of the main factors in determining a diamond's value.  Over the years the criteria for determining a diamond's clarity have become more universal.  The greater a diamond's clarity, the more brilliant, valuable and rare it is.

The number and nature of internal characteristics (inclusions), in the stone as well as their size and  position determines the clarity of a diamond.  They may look like tiny crystals, clouds, or feathers.
